Accounts Receivable Coordinator

We’re looking for a part-time Accounts Receivable Coordinator, for eight to ten hours a week, at our growing company. 

Every day in the US, five million disposable diapers are put into landfills where they’ll live for the next 500 years. Diapers are the third biggest contributor to landfills, and yet only 5% of the population use them for three to four hours at a time. gDiapers is on a mission to change those statistics, and end diaper waste as we know it. 

We manufacture and sell a flushable, home compostable (wet ones only) baby diaper made up of a reusable, fashionable outer pant and a Cradle to Cradle certified absorbent insert. Come help us achieve our mission. 

The Job

Your goal in this position is to resolve all customer accounts that haven’t paid their full bills, and to build a consistent process to do so quickly and efficiently. 

You’ll do this by building out an investigative process to track down how each payment was missed, and then upload those charges to the customer’s account. No collection calling is necessary. 

There’s an amazing feeling of accomplishment every time you successfully complete a collection. It’s a critical task for the ongoing success and growth of gDiapers.

On top of these traits and skills, these experiences could help you stand out: 

  • Experience doing payment shortage disputes via large retailer online portals (like Amazon, Target, and Toys R Us)
  • Experience in operations (an asset, not required)
  • Experience using intermediate level functions of Excel, like VLookups and Advanced Formulas
  • Experience using warehouse and vendor portals
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics GP (an asset, not required)
  • High School Diploma 

The Details

This part-time position works eight to ten hours every week. We’ll set regular hours until you’re fully trained. When you’re feeling confident, you can take advantage of the very flexible schedule we have. It would be helpful to schedule some of your time when the whole team is in between nine to three on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to take advantage of team meetings, shared lunches and time to get to know your team. 

You’ll be working from our gorgeous Portland office space that we affectionately call the bullpen. We’re located on top of an old dairy in one of the most eco-friendly buildings around. We use geo-thermal technology to heat and cool the building. 

You’ll earn between $21/hour and $24/hour depending on experience. On top of your compensation, you’ll get four weeks of paid time off, and have access to the daycare that’s connected to our building.
