World Breastfeeding Week: gStories on Breastmilk

August 7, 2017

Breastfeeding is a very personal experience, and it varies so much between each mother and each baby. Here at gDiapers, we celebrate the uniqueness of each story, how we are all so very different, and yet we can all relate to each other in a universal way. Here are just a few stories to share in that celebration:   How Breastfeeding Affects Your Body, Emotionally Learning to nurse can be a big challenge, for both mom and baby. gMum Nilam Nalamwar describes those first few weeks of breastfeeding, when everything is so new and your milk supply has yet to...

World Breastfeeding Week: Celebrating Diversity, a gMum guest post

August 1, 2017

August 1-7 is World Breastfeeding Week! Here at g, we think different is beautiful. That's why we're celebrating diversity in all of our breastfeeding journeys. In this guest post, gMum Emily shares her struggles and victories with breastfeeding her two sons. First time moms…we think we have it all figured out, right? Friends are made, fun is had, and every year breastfeeding records are broken. It’s fun and simple, but powerful.

October 25, 2012

No matter how you choose to feed your baby, it’s a journey. And one that requires a pretty tough look at where you’ve been, where you are, where you’re going, and then you take a gigantic big breath to ride the ensuing emotions with as much confidence as you can muster. Thanks to gMum, Nilam for telling us her story.

Several months ago my daughter and I decided it was time to wean her from breast milk. I have to say – she didn’t seem to care.  But for me, it was a journey that meant something. I jotted down our journey and how I felt.  Maybe you went through this too (Please say yes so I can feel like a normal mom).
