Out and about with gDiapers.
Generally speaking, you can flush the biodegradable gRefill in a public toilet. You can also bag them to flush or compost later. Or you can toss them. That’s right. Because our gRefills are plastic-free, you’re still helping the planet even if you throw them away.
Do I need to carry around the Swishstick?
Not necessarily. The water pressure on most public toilets is strong enough to skip the swishing. Remember to always tear both sides, pull open at the top and just to be on the safe side when you're unfamiliar with the plumbing, flush twice – once for the inner core and then a second time for the outer material. Or you can flush them later at home.
Make it easy on yourself.
Always keep several gDiapers ready to use in your diaper bag. And carry a water-resistant bag in your diaper bag to take care of the soiled little gPant.
Camping? Absolutely.
If you follow backpacker’s etiquette and dig a two-to-three foot hole at least 10 yards from water, you can bury a gRefill and leave the guilt behind. If you’re near a commercial toilet, you can flush as well. But if the closest toilet is an outhouse or portable toilet, put the poop in the toilet and toss the rest in the garbage or pack it out. Since a pump is required to empty most outhouses and portable toilets, nothing should be tossed in them except toilet paper to avoid clogging the pump.
