gDiapers at daycare? Naturally.

caregivers

We all want what’s best for our babies. We want them happy and healthy all day and all night. Daycare should be no exception. Let your childcare provider know that you would prefer they use gDiapers on your baby. We’ve put together tips to help.

Daycare readiness tips for parents.

  • Keep 4-6 clean little gPants and extra snap-in liners on hand at your daycare, to be used with either biodegradable gRefills or gCloth.
  • Or, keep a few pre-loaded little gPants in your diaper bag to leave for your provider.
  • Provide a reusable wet bag for dirty items to come home in.

gDiapering tips for childcare providers.

  • Insert the gRefill or gCloth by pressing it into the snap-in liner, which is already snapped into the little gPants.
  • Secure velcro in the back, away from little hands. Do not over-tighten.
  • gDiapers fit up snug between the legs. Liner rests in the crease of baby's leg just like underwear.
  • gDiapers, like all diapers need to be changed every 2-4 hours for a dry, happy baby.
  • Poop does get on the snap-in liner, but rarely soils the little gPant.

Disposing of soiled gDiapers: flush, compost, or toss.

Flushing typically isn't the most convenient option for larger childcare centers, but gDiapers are still easier on the earth, even if tossed.

  • gDiapers recommends flushing the poop even if you choose to toss the gRefill.
  • If the snap-in liner is soiled, remove it from the little gPants and put in a wet bag for the parents to take home and launder. Snap in a clean liner for later changes.

Tips from gDiapers on-site childcare center.

  • Keep a bin near the changing station for wet-only biodegradable gRefills. These can then be added to a composter with your center's food scraps and turned into lovely compost for a garden!
  • All our gBabies have their own cubbies next to the changing station. Parents keep these stocked with clean gDiapers, which makes diaper changes a breeze.

Download the printable version and ask your childcare provider to post it above the changing station so your baby can be 'g' all day long.

Good news! gDiapers are fully compliant with the diapering requirements set forth by the National Resource Center for Health and Safety in Childcare.

"My caregiver loves using the g's so much! When I picked up the baby today she had to show me her "system" for changing and gush about how the g's held in everything today. It's nice having someone who loves them as much as I do!"
