Can I use my own cloth covers with a flushable?

Not necessarily. You just won't get the same great fit that a 'little g' offers.   The snap-in liner is an important factor in contouring the flushable against your baby's skin and keeping the mess contained.  Other cloth covers don't have the snap-in liner, so the function just wouldn't be the same.
