You know that video that makes you go “aww…” and “cool!” and makes your heart swell just a little and compels you to hit share? We hope this one gets you that way. Cause it sure got us that way. Which is why we’re hitting share right here. Because with so many changes a day, diapering should be a beautiful ritual.

What kinds of videos would you like to see from gDiapers? Leave a comment. We’re always open to suggestion. Plus, making videos is pretty dang fun.

There are a few ways to let friends and family know that you’d really like your baby to be a gBaby. First, there’s by telling them. With words. From your mouth. With this option you get to use any words you like. It’s fun! You can even just make them up as you go.

Second, you can add gDiapers to your registry. We don’t host a registry on gDiapers.com. But! There’s a whole slew of awesome registry options, so you can pick your little gPants palette to coordinate with that adorable layette from (insert your favorite baby clothing company here). The nice thing about a registry is that it’s interactive. So if someone purchases something from your registry (lucky duck) it will show as purchased, so you don’t end up with 42 receiving blankets and 9 bath frogs.

Third, give guests a gentle nudge by including an insert in your shower invites. We’ve whipped some up for you so you can download as is, or get crafty and add some DIY razzle dazzle.

And lastly, we just have this to say: congratulations! Whether your welcoming your first baby or third, adopting or fostering, or simply in the early early planning stages, it’s all so very exciting. Babies are what makes the beautiful world go round.

gillian, kelli, heather - totally serious.

Therapy is just, well, it’s just kinda nice. It’s someone to talk to. It’s a way to figure out new things. It’s support from someone who gets it. And since gDiapers are a new take on an old routine, a little diaper therapy may be in order from time to time. So sit down. Get comfy. Let’s talk gDiapers.

Who are we?

We’re moms who have gDiapered our kiddos. And now, well, we work for gDiapers. There’s a little introduction to us back on the main website, but to put a little more face to the name, here’s us again (and more importantly, why on earth it matters to you). We are Kelli McKee (that’s me, the blogger), Gillian Brimberry (customer service and wholesale support) and Heather McPhee (customer service and marketing/finance support). So when you call you’ll usually talk to Gillian or Heather. And when you email, it’s usually they who will write you back. Comments received on this blog or on our facebook page are typically answered by me, though our killawicked marketing director, Michelle Schnoor, may hop in from time to time (she’s also your go-to gal for all things gMum).

We think it’s important that you know we’re real, honest to goodness, genuine moms. We’re not perfect. We’re here to chat through with you any questions you may have, because we’ve been there! And with many years of combined gDiapers experience, we believe we can be the support you need, should you need it. Also, we like you. Plain and simple. And we like it when you call (email, facebook, tweet, etc.).

So here we are. Here you are. And we’re so glad we’re all in this together.

There are lots of ways to describe gRefills. Here are a few: biodegradable, compostable, flushable and plastic-free. Bottom line, they’re a disposable diaper done better. And by better we mean better for baby and better for the planet. At the end of the day they don’t have to end up in a landfill. Could they? Will they? Some very well may. But it’s not a requirement.

Regular disposable diapers have no option other than this trashcan or that trashcan. They can’t be composted (please don’t try), they can’t be flushed (that’s pretty obvious) and they will never biodegrade. So the option for disposal is….well, there isn’t one.

So, what if a gRefill does get thrown away? What then? The EPA is pretty adamant about how nothing biodegrades in a landfill. And we’re not going to argue. But what we can tell you is that even if you do throw away your gRefills, you can breathe easy knowing that on the upstream side of things (the production phase) the environmental footprint of a gRefill is teeny tiny. It takes about a cup of oil to make each disposable diaper. That’s a hefty footprint for such a little product. gRefills are plastic free and so don’t require petroleum in the production.

Want to keep diapers completely out of landfills? Compost the wet ones, flush the poopy ones. And if you have no other option but to toss them, don’t sweat it. You’re doing an incredible thing regardless. Your baby thanks you. We thank you. And if the earth could talk, we’re positive it would thank you, too.

You’re ready to do this. Know how we know? Cause you’re reading this.

The formula is simple: you need little gPants and you need refills. That’s it. We suggest having 6-8 little gPants per size (for small, medium, and large at least). If you want to use gRefills exclusively, count on a case every 3-4 weeks. If you want to use gCloth most of the time, plan on 10-12 diaper changes a day, so 4 packs of gCloth should do the trick. How you get them is up to you. Here are some ideas.

Baby isn’t here yet?

If you’ve got a brand new baby on the way, you’re probably chomping at the bit to get that nursery set up and your diaper stash organized. We know. We’ve been there, too. The planning phase is a lot of fun. But it can be overwhelming. The gBaby Bundle was put together to give you everything you need to use gDiapers from day one. Order it online, pick one up from Babies R Us, or add one to your registry. (oh! speaking of registry, we have these sweet little shower insert cards that you can tuck inside your shower invites, so you can gently suggest/obviously state that you want to use gDiapers on your baby, and hold the plastic disposables, please. We thought that would be easier than having our diaper therapy team call up great-grandma and Aunt Betty…).

Baby is here and ready for a change.

So baby’s bigger than a newborn. Check out our sizing guidelines really quick and then come on back to this post. We’ll wait…

Alrighty. Now that you’ve picked the size you need let’s go back to the equation. Pants plus something to go inside them. That’s all you need. An economical route is to grab the sweet bundle, which combines the everyday g’s 6-pack (in our signature colors, orange and green) and your choice of either biodegradable gRefills or gCloth. You can always add other colors to your little gPant palette by selecting the fabulous colors and prints that are sold individually.

Pretty easy, right? Let the fun begin!
