We’re all familiar with Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but did you know that the Tuesday after Thanksgiving is an even more special day, with a generous twist? It’s called Giving Tuesday, and it’s the perfect antidote to the hectic consumerism that can take over this time of year.
I love this holiday. I love how it bookends the Thanksgiving holiday period and lets us start with reflection and gratitude on Thursday and allows us to end with action and giving on Tuesday. It brings us back to what matters.
Launching the Love Me g Collection and connecting with Hands to Hearts International has got us digging into what love means to us. Oh, those 6,000 chocolate hearts we saw at the grocery store yesterday might have been a part of it too… Here’s Kim and Jason talking love in our office yesterday:
Growing up comes with a new adventure everyday, and our little friend Rocket is growing up before our very eyes. She is now out of the newborn gPants and into size small, which means she can start using the cloth inserts, too. So now there’s the big question: how does one use cloth diapers on a baby on a boat? I’m just gonna step back and let Jess do the talking. She’s got this cloth diaper thing dialed.
You can’t control the waves of the ocean, but you can certainly learn to ride them. Few experiences ever turn out exactly as you plan them, a lesson Jess and James have learned early. From Rocket making her debut ahead of schedule while in port in Mexico, to a quick trip to Mexico City to secure vital travel documents for a brand new baby, to hopping a flight to Canada to introduce her to family, it has been one wave after the next. Which, of course, is what waves do. They just keep coming.
Jess and James recently welcomed their new baby girl, Rocket, into their adventurous life. They traveled to Mexico on their boat and had Rocket at a birth center in Guadalajara. Now they’re gearing up for a quick trip to visit family in Canada, which means little miss Rocket needs her first passport.
Jess has been filling us in with the itty bitty details of life with a new baby: little obstacles, little milestones and a whole lot of change.
