gDiapers and the FTC Green Guides

January 17, 2014

In the spirit of fair dinkum that is core to who we are, I wanted to share with you more information about the FTC review of our claims and advertising. Following the FTC update of the Green Guides in September 2012, we have co-operated with the FTC for over a year to refine and further support our benefits, and made the necessary changes to our website and packaging last year. Rest assured that our product and core benefits are unchanged – our disposable inserts are Cradle to Cradle Certified (cm) Silver, flushable, and home compostable (wet ones only). In fact, as part of this process we have done additional testing requested by the FTC that further supports these benefits. To learn more about gDiapers and the FTC Green Guides, please read below.

“Mommy, where do gPants come from?”

No need to hold your breath and pray for a change of subject, we’ve got this one covered. Mimi, our Director of Design and Development, gives a little insight into the creation of our gPants. It’s not quite as complex as the birds and the bees, but it is about life.

Meet Kelli. And hear how she came up short.

July 9, 2013

For the last few months we’ve been introducing our team, one blog post at a time. It’s been a space for our team to dig a bit deeper and share more than your standard corporate bio. My turn was coming up. And as I’m the one that writes this here blog, I was a little stumped at how to go about writing my own bio. Interview myself? Awkward. Then I wrote this piece for my own blog, and it became apparent that this was the bio I needed to share here.

This is what I wrote the night before I climbed — but didn’t summit — Mt. Hood.

This takes guts. by Jason.

June 12, 2013

Parenthood takes guts. Raising another human being to be the very best human that they can be is no easy endeavor. So how do we do it? One. Breath. At a time. Thank you to Jason Graham-Nye, CEO and co-founder of gDiapers, for kicking off our “This takes guts” blog series, just in time for Father’s Day.

Fatherhood is quite the trip.

With no instruction book included, early on at least parenting seems to be a series of stumbles and falls and then a semblance of survival. My kids are 8 and 10 now and I still have very little idea about what I’m doing. The major reference point for us all (for better or worse) is how our own fathers pulled it off.
